No Bees Please!

It's really no secret that I hate bugs.....despise....loathe....skeeve!  Bugs are one of the reasons I got married...so I would permenantly have a "bug killer" (well that and my husband is kinda really cute!).  I don't discriminate against any bug.  I am an equal opportunity hater of bugs.  The tinest spider can send me into a full fledged scream!  There are two insects which are cute to look at...the ladybug and the butterfly...with that being said if either touched me...... I WOULD DIE!

I would like to point out now that I have a tatoo of a butterfly on my back...which is kinda ironic...

Anyway.....

The worst bug of all for me HAS to be BEES!  They are wretched little creatures who sole purpose in life is to sting you.  What's that you say?  They are good for spreading pollen and making honey?  Personally I would rather never have flowers or honey then to ever deal with bees.  Remember my fear of needles....BEES have needles ATTACHED to their BODY!  Doesn't that freak you out!?!?!

I have only been stung once....which was the most traumatic experience of my life.  I was in fourth grade.  I was wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt and we were at recess lining up quietly and the damn evil flying needle decided to have some fun and landed on my hand.  It wouldn't leave.  I panicked.  I couldn't scream so I tried to squish it.  BIG MISTAKE.  The damn evil flying needle got mad at me and stung me (that bastard).  I cried like the little girl I was....

Ever since then......

I run and scream and flip out if I see a bee!  Just today there was a HUGE bumblebee on the sidewalk on my way to the post office...so what did this brave scared shitless woman do?

I walked around THE LONG way just to not be around the bee.

I love everything about the summer...the long daylight...the great weather....  except the bugs (I'll save my loathing for mosquitos for another entry).  With a world of bugs....I will take the winter ANYTIME!

I can relate to this post because I'm also a huge insect hater! When we lived in Nashville, the first place we ever lived in was infested with house centipedes. It was a hellish three weeks before we got them to break our lease and let us move out. Worst. experience. ever.

I hope that the bugs die off soon. I don't care if they are "good" and eat other bugs. They are all just GROSS.

I hate insects too especially bees and wasps. I am so frightened of getting stung again. When I was about 7 a bee stung me in my ear when another kid swatted it and it came mine way. I don't like any insects though and will run if I see a bumble bee lol.

Reading that back makes me sound like a crazy!

oh boy this post made me laugh!! I am EXACTLY the same way. I have an irrational fear of bees..makes no sense. I even had to leave a BBQ for my husbands work cause I embarrassed myself running around picnic tables from bees...they are horrid creatures!

OMG!!! I seriously couldn't agree more about the bug phobia! I definitely thought one of the perks to marriage was having a live-in bug killer. Unfortunately, my hubby is THE WORST bug killer known to man! He tries to creep up on them. He doesn't give them enough credit. They are quick little buggers and 75% of the time, he misses them. Then I go on panic mode and often have to find somewhere new to sleep/watch tv/relax for the night.
My greatest bug fear is the cricket! Seriously, the scariest bug EVER! They look like tiny dinosaurs! We had a horrible infestation when we first moved into our house (and actually learned that it happens every summer, needless to say, we moved!) I read up on crickets to learn that they're blind and they bite! They feel vibrations so when you get close, they jump AT you instead of away from you in fear. No thanks!!! Like I said, we moved!
I've never been stung by a bee and I'm pretty sure, I'm fine with that. I would've walked the long way too! Nothing wrong with that! Totally normal in my book.

I don't like bees or any type of stinging insect, but I can't bring myself to kill them. Even if there's a wasp in the house, I'll rescue it and put it outside...lol I'm such a weird person!

Mine would have to be roaches and spiders. I never minded spiders much until P and I were each bitten twice by brown recluses.

I have a butterfly tattoo, too :)
